We welcome another partner to the CSPA Knowledge Network. Leading resource Cultura21 recently overhauled their web presence and with that change we’ve been able to add them as a syndication partner.

Cultura21 is a transversal, translocal network, constituted of an international level grounded in severalÂ Cultura21 organizations around the world.

Cultura21â€²s international network, launched in April 2007, offers the online and offline platform for exchanges and mutual learning among its members.

The activities ofÂ Cultura21 at the international level are coordinated by a team representing the differentÂ Cultura21 organizations worldwide, and currently constituted of:

– Sacha Kagan (based in LÃ¼neburg, Germany) and Rana Ã–ztÃ¼rk (based in Berlin, Germany)

– Oleg Koefoed and Kajsa Paludan (both based in Copenhagen, Denmark)

– Hans Dieleman (based in Mexico-City, Mexico)

– Francesca Cozzolino and David Knaute (both based in Paris, France)

Cultura211 is not only an informal network. Its strength and vitality relies upon the activities of several organizations around the world which are sharing the vision and mission ofÂ Cultura21

I met the family who have agreed to host my brief stay in Copenhagen. They were warm, and extremely welcoming. If the idea behind wooloo.orgâ€™sÂ New Life Copenhagen initiativeÂ â€“ which matches visitors to host families â€“ is to embody the a new openness, then it may well be working. They are not the sort of people whose paths would normally cross with mine; Lars is involved in local politics as a right-wing politician. Gitte, his partner, says the Danish rarely invite people into their homes. But that is the point. Last night, over tea, we talked, all thoroughly enjoying the strangeness of it.

I wonder if we will get around to completing the questions in the New Life Copenhagen Guest/Host book that was left by my bed for us all to fill inF?

Green Sundays start at Arcola Theatre

Arcola EnergyÂ will hostÂ Green SundaysÂ on the first Sunday of each month, starting with a launch on 1 March. The Green Sundays are free events, and the public is welcome to drop in toÂ Arcola TheatreÂ throughout the day from 1:30 – 7:30 pm.

The Green Sundays programme will feature music, games, films, speakers and readings based loosely on an issue under the climate change umbrella, such as food, travel, energy or politics.

Green Sundays are intended to demonstrate how a creative industry, such as theatre, can provide a space to discuss the environment and how people can work together to tackle climate change.

The March launch theme was food – growing, making, enjoying and sustaining food. The day included meals, short films and a screening of ‘Our Daily Bread’, a reading fromÂ The Hungry Cyclist: Pedalling the Americas in Search of the Perfect MealÂ by the author Tom Kevill-Davies, an open mic session and presentation of the Food Chain Campaign byÂ Friends of the Earth,
